Hid Problem

HI Everyone,

I just installed my HID on my Ram 2004 but I still have a problem. As you know, you need a relay(because you need a real 12V) and a resistance to make it work (to make sure it does not flicker). I figured that out, everything works fine... but the problem is my resistance heat a lot. It comes very hot after a couple of minutes.. I first tried a 3 ohm 30W, it was heating a lot, then I tried a 6 ohm 50 w, and it is still heating a lot.

Any advice?????

I think you should lower the wattage of the resistance. Since the input of HID is only 35W, only additional 10~15 W need to be wasted. Why don't you remove the resistor first and see if it flickers ? If not, you don't have to worry about resistor.
